Eclecticism is a complex creative trend born as a consequence of both postmodernism and the heterodox treatment of cultural identity borders. This aesthetic path emerges as a compositional model of great communicative power in contemporary creation in the last two decades. Our essay addresses the Symphony V "American" (2003) by Leonardo Balada (1933) as a compositional paradigm. Through this article we demonstrate the importance of including popular sounds and re-signifying materials in the creative conception. A valid model of communication ahead of the challenges of globalization and mass media processes is therefore established hereby.

Pyrrolo[2,3-h]quinolinones: A new ring system with potent photoantiproliferative activity

A new class of compounds, the pyrrolo[2,3-h]quinolin-2-ones, nitrogen isosters of the angular furocoumarin Angelicin, was synthesized with the aim of obtaining new photochemotherapeutic agents with increased antiproliferative activity and lower undesired toxic effects than the lead compound. Two synthetic pathways were approached to allow the isolation both of the dihydroderivatives 10-17 and of the aromatic ring system 23. Compounds 10-17 showed a remarkable phototoxicity and a great UVA dose dependence reaching IC(50) values at submicromolar level. Masteroppgave i økonomi og administrasjon - Universitetet i Agder 2009 Hensikten med oppgaven er å se hvilke faktorer som påvirker boligstrukturen i norske byer og tettsteder. Jeg ønsker deretter å se om disse faktorene kan brukes til å predikere fremtidig boligstruktur. I oppgaven beskriver jeg en boligstruktur modell for en monosentrisk by. Denne modellen er utgangspunktet for mine antakelser i oppgaven og hypotesene jeg tester. I 2006 ble det skrevet en siviløkonomoppgave ved Høgskolen i Agder som omhandlet boligstrukturen i norske byer og tettsteder i 2001.
